I was born in Lisbon and at the age of 10 I moved to Macau where I stayed until I was 18, until I enrolled in the Sculpture course at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Lisbon.

During my college years I was part of the Volte Face group and a member of FIDEM (Fédération Internationale de la Médaille d’Art), taking part in various national and international medal exhibitions.

At the end of the course I travelled to Mozambique, which inspired me to develop work that resulted in two exhibitions.

I returned to Macao to collaborate with the Macao Museum of Art to give art workshops, one of them on large-scale sculpture based on the exhibition by the artist Niki de Saint Phalle, which was taking place.

On a trip to Shanghai, I took my work of the moment – Noisy Undiscovered Taste – to Shanghai Studio, where I later presented it. When that exhibition was taking place, I was invited to do an artist residency a year later with Art World Project and ArtLabor Gallery, which resulted in the exhibition Major Arcana.

Between 2005 and 2009 I didn’t have a permanent residence. I made several trips that inspired my artistic career and I lived between Portugal, Macau, Shanghai and São Paulo.

In 2010, I attended the Art Studies and Criticism course at the Maumaus Art School in Lisbon, where I realised video art projects.

When I became a mum, my artistic production slowed down. I collaborated as a creative at the Ricardo Moreno Arquitectos studio, did workshops in tapestry (Rita Sevilha) and pottery (ARCO) and, in 2023-24, I attended the common year in Art Therapy.

I share the experiences of my traveller’s gaze, collecting and readjusting the effects of the enchantment that beings and landscapes exert on me.
